Why This Reference Exists
Texas law allows access to many government records, but release information is divided among several custodians. The Medina County Sheriff documents county booking and release events. TDCJ operates state offender information and controls prison release records. Medina County courts retain bond, disposition, sentence, and community-supervision orders. Federal releases can appear through the Bureau of Prisons.
This site organizes those official paths in one place. It explains which source answers present custody, which office holds a durable release record, and why a transfer should not be mistaken for release to the community. Medina County does not publish an official recent-release feed, so the reference also describes the Sheriff, IVSS, records-request, and court fallback.

Search Partner Disclosure
Some pages contain search boxes supplied by outside providers. Those providers control their own data, results, terms, and prices. If a visitor follows a tool to a paid signup, this site may receive a referral fee that helps keep the public reference available. Payment does not make the provider’s result an official Medina County or Texas record, and this site does not set or control the provider’s charges.
